What We Believe
Our faith is rooted in Scripture. These convictions shape everything we do as a church.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the head of the Church, the hope of sinners, and the glory of God revealed. The following statement reflects the core beliefs that guide our worship, teaching, and life together.
The Scriptures
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God without any error — inspired, inerrant, and sufficient. It is the sole authority for life and faith, and our final standard for doctrine and daily living.
God
We believe that there is one true and living God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three persons are equal in essence, glory, and majesty, yet distinct in personhood, working together in perfect unity to accomplish God's redemptive purposes.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus is the Son of God — fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the sacrifice for the sins of mankind, was buried, arose bodily from the grave, ascended into heaven, and will literally return to earth in power and glory.
Christ's Return
We believe that Jesus Christ will literally and bodily return to earth. His return is the blessed hope of the Church, and we are called to live in readiness and expectation of that day.
The Holy Spirit
We believe that God the Holy Spirit is active in convincing unbelievers of their need for salvation. He is the comforter and guide who lives in every believer, regenerating, sealing, sanctifying, and empowering them to grow in the image of Christ.
Humanity and Sin
We believe that man is a special creation of God, made in His image. But through the sin of the first man, Adam, mankind fell — so that all people are sinners, separated from God, and in need of salvation. Apart from Christ, humanity stands guilty before a holy God.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is a gift of God received through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone — not by works. Those who believe are forgiven, justified, adopted as God's children, and granted eternal life.
Assurance of Salvation
We believe that every person who is truly saved is eternally secure in the Lord Jesus Christ. God who began a good work in the believer will carry it to completion, and nothing can separate the redeemed from the love of God.
The Church
We believe that all who have placed their faith in Christ are united together by the Holy Spirit in one spiritual body — the Church — of which Christ is the head. Members of this one spiritual body are directed to associate themselves together in local churches for worship, discipleship, fellowship, service, and the proclamation of the Gospel.
Baptism and the Lord's Supper
We believe that water baptism is an act of obedience to the command of Christ and is by immersion after salvation. The Lord's Supper is likewise an ordinance given by Christ to His church. These ordinances do not save, but serve as testimonies of the Gospel and of our union with Christ.
Prayer
We believe that each believer has direct access to God through the Lord Jesus Christ. Prayer is the privilege of every child of God — we are invited to bring our praise, confession, thanksgiving, and requests boldly before the throne of grace.
Eternity
We believe in the resurrection of the dead and the final judgment. Those who die in their sins without Christ spend eternity in hell, separated from God. Those whose sins are forgiven through Christ spend eternity in heaven in the presence of God, where He will dwell with His people forever.
Church and Government
We believe in the separation of church and state, but not in the separation of God and government. Christians are called to be salt and light in society, engaging the world with the truth and love of Christ and upholding righteousness in every sphere of life.
Our Mission
We believe that Jesus Christ is the head of the Church, the hope of sinners, and the glory of God revealed. Therefore, we exist to glorify God by proclaiming Christ, making disciples, and cultivating a unified body of believers who love God, love one another, and make Him known.
Scripture:Matthew 22:37-39 • Matthew 28:18-20 • John 13:34-35 • Colossians 1:18 • 1 Corinthians 1:10
Our Convictions
- We preach the Bible expositionally, believing God's Word is sufficient and without error.
- We proclaim salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone — received through repentance and belief.
- We affirm the eternal security of every true believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.
- We pursue unity in the local church through submission to Christ as head.
- We believe authentic Christian living flows from abiding in Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit.
- We seek to make disciples who know Scripture, love one another, and proclaim the Gospel.
- We believe Christians are called to be salt and light — engaging society with truth, love, and the hope of Christ.
